ABOUT ME

First of all, I love Halloween! This picture was taken the night Joker proposed to me. We even had a Joker/Harley Quinn themed wedding featuring Batman as our Best Man! I always go all out on Halloween costumes, and so far, in addition to Harley Quinn, I have also dressed as Morticia Addams and Jessica Rabbit.

Most of my childhood was spent with a notebook in my hand. I was always writing something, but I never believed I would ever share it with the world. Marissa's fear of other's reading her writing is definitely a fear of my own. The person who inspired Chad's character in the First Love series was actually the first person who really pushed me to continue writing, even if I kept it to myself.

In 2015, my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the age of 85, there isn't much that can be done for the disease. Unable to cope with reality, I disappeared into the worlds I created in my stories. My first priority was getting Chad's story finished and out for the world to see. By the time we lost her in September 2015, I was already a published author.

From the Corner of Her Eye is currently my only stand-alone novel. I may eventually revisit some of the characters, but as of right now, I'm finished with the Self Inflicted series, which was also intended to be a stand-alone novel. About halfway into Aurora's story, I realized I had way to much invested into the story to be finished with just one book. Scars Fade and Reopening Old Wounds followed shortly after. There is also the prequel novella, Before the Scars, which digs into the past of characters such as Liam, Aislynn, Gabe, and Trent.

As a mother of five, I don't have much free time, but when I do get a moment, I enjoy crafting as well as photography. I haven't had time to do much with my photography in the last year other than kid's sporting events. Two of my children are very involved in theater. They are both on the swim team, and my oldest daughter plays hockey. The younger three children don't have much to be involved yet at their ages, but I'm sure it will happen!
